Thank you to our Patrons for your patience this past Wednesday as we were closed at our Branch for some on-going projects!
We now ask our Patrons to help us in sending a HUGE THANKS to the individuals who volunteered their time for 2024's United Way's Sandy O'Haver Day of Caring on 9/11/2024!
Two Companies sent individuals to our Branch and without their help, we would not have been able to move further with an on-going project that we have had going since February/March of this year.
Seth Rhodes from Williams
And from the Diocese of Wheeling Charleston sent:
Julie Link
Amber Chambers
Scott Millard
Becky Bower
Nick Gulisek
Kelly Albers
Rob Wickham
We also had Friends Board Member Linda Amos and her husband Walter Amos present to help both the Director and a library clerk that day.
Phase 2 of the replacement for ceiling tiles has been completed and we hope that in the near future we will only have to close one more day to complete the 3rd and hopefully last part of the ceiling tile replacement project until the complete long-term repair is decided upon.
The individuals above were some of the best workers and truly helped us in giving a face lift to some areas of our libraries. With the other construction projects set to begin next week, we truly are excited about the additional support that our Follansbee Branch needed to extend the building's longevity! We also ask that if there is another group of about 8 individuals (who may also have some ladders to spare), to contact the library director, as we would greatly appreciate the help to finish the overall drop ceiling project! We are sorry to not have taken more photos that you see below, but it was just such a busy and fulfilling day and we urge you to visit us in order to really see in person how much more aesthetically pleasing it now is!
