We're making Never Fail Chocolate Cake from Jenny Colgan's adorable novel The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris. Let's get baking...
Never Fail Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
½ vegetable oil
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Zest from 1-2 oranges
1 tsp vanilla
Nutella for icing
Instructions
1 Beat eggs, sugar, and cocoa, adding oil gradually.
2 Stir in the flour, baking powder, then salt.
3 Add zest and vanilla last.
4. Pour into pan and bake 40 minutes in the oven at 350F. Check it, might be runny.
5. Ice with Nutella and enjoy once cool.
