3 Stars - Calling all dog lovers and beach readers, this is a fun romance for you! Linc and Hazel don't have a lot going on except for brewing romance. They're sharing a house he just bought and is flipping with Hazel's crew of foster dogs. That's really the whole plot, and I thought I was prepared for that but I guess not entirely. The dogs are adorable supporting characters, but I was sort of unprepared for them to be such a central factor when they don't do much. Hazel and Linc keep busy with their respective projects and chores but there's really no need for this book to be over three hundred pages long. Like why the side family drama? One minute her sister warned her about the ex and now wants her to reconcile? But the characters of two-legged and four-legged variety are cute. The dialouge is decent. And there were plenty of sparks.
