3 Stars - I'd loved quite a few McKettrick books, but I hadn't read a Linda Lael Miller story in a few years. A bit of a mixed bag here. Not sure if it wanted most to be romance, mystery, fantasy, or western. I loved the Old West town setting within the modern timeframe. It made for a very cool comparison and unique idea. I liked Liam and Madison, but in a general sort of way. I was very intrigued by their first scene together. Less so as things moved on. They had intricate backstories but maybe too much so. Some things felt a bit absurd, such as Madison's reason for sort of calling off her wedding, and the drama that went with it. Liam's strange marriage and relationship with his children. The mystery regarding Bliss probably could have stood on its own or at least been paired with a couple with less baggage. If you're up for all the different facets of this book, you may enjoy it more, but it did seem to have a bit of an indentity crisis happening.
